This Kool-aid paint is very easy to make, and it is a fabulous finger paint for babies and toddlers. Pop it in the freezer for 15 minutes before play to cool things down a bit this Summer!
Kool-aid Finger Paint Recipe
- 3 cups of water
- 2 cups of flour
- 1/2 cup of salt
- 3 tbsp of oil
- Varying kool-aid packets
Combine the flour and salt in a bowl
Add the oil and water and mix well
Divide your base finger paint into bowls or cups. You will want one cup for each kool-aid paint you want to make.
Next, add the kool-aid to your base paint cups
How much kool-aid you need will depend on how much paint is in each cup. I used roughly 1/2 a packet for each paint color and that was more than enough to give me super vibrant paint.
We love this paint recipe, and use it often for play. You can substitute all sorts of things in place of the kool-aid to make all different types of paint! Since it was a hot day we popped our Kool-aid paints in the freezer to chill them out for a bit. This was a simple way to cool things down on a hot day!
Both girls love this paint! It is especially great for babies still tasting as it is edible and 100% baby and toddler safe! We covered and stored our left overs in the fridge, and used it throughout the week It kept great though I am not sure exactly how long it would keep for.
Simple to make and SO FUN!
