This next homemade paint recipe is perfect for Fall arts and crafts. It's texture alone is fun to explore, and the artwork is so neat! Oh, and you probably have everything you need to make it already on hand.
Homemade Pumpkin Puffy Paint
We have had such fun adding scent and color to traditional puffy paint to make unique and fun works of art. The girls loved their gingerbread puffy paint from Christmas so much that I knew they would love concocting their very own pumpkin puffy paint.

In a bowl mix together equal parts of shaving cream and white school glue. Then add pumpkin spice to scent and orange watercolors or food coloring to color. Stir all ingredients, adding more scent and color if needed
That's it! Such an easy paint recipe and SO FUN!
Kids can paint all sorts of art that will dry puffy. We used ours to make puffy touch and feel pumpkins
An older child (or adult) could make one like above. Rosie and Jewel's looked more like this
Perfect, right? Even if we did forget the stems
The artwork has such a NEAT texture once dry! This puffy paint also makes for some fabulous sensory play. The girls had a blast playing with the left over paint once we were done making our pumpkins.
