December 15, 2013
Here are two adorable holiday snack ideas for kids. I made both of these for our annual cookie decorating day, and they really added a special touch to the fun. Both ideas are things I have seen all over Pinterest. If you are not on there yet you really should check it out, and don't forget to follow Growing a Jeweled Rose for all the best kids activities.

Reindeer Sandwiches
  • Wheat bread
  • Peanut butter & jelly (or lunch meat)
  • Mini-pretzel rounds
  • Red peanut M & M's
  • Brown plain M & M's
  • A heart shaped cookie cutter
Make sandwiches as you normally would.  Use the cookie cutter to cut heart shapes from the sandwiches.  Then embellish the heart shapes upside down to look like reindeer.

What could be cuter than reindeer sandwiches for lunch during the holidays? My kids love these!

With pretzel antlers & M & M facial features, these little guys were a big hit with the kids!
Reindeer sandwiches- YUMMY!

I used a tiny dab of peanut butter to hold the M & M's in place, but if your child has a peanut allergy you could use mustard.

The girls loved these snacks and had a great cookie decorating day!
