Easily make kids smile and tuck a healthy Halloween treat into their lunch this fall. You only need two things to make these edible jack-o-lanterns, and they are sure to delight all ages!
All you need are orange cups and a permanent marker for this activity. You can use varying fruit cups to make other adorable Halloween treats, too! Read on to see how we also made vampires and Frankenstein snack cups.
HOW TO MAKE EDIBLE JACK-O-LANTERNS FOR KIDS
Materials
- Fruit cups, citrus fruit, or similar
- Permanent marker
Method
- Use a permanent marker to draw jack-o-lanterns onto fruit cups.
- We used oranges, but other fruit cups will also work. In fact, you can make a variety of spooky Halloween treats this way!
USE WHOLE CITRUS FRUIT
If you don't have fruit cups on hand you can use whole pieces of citrus to make jack-o-lanterns.
- I recommend using a food marker in case some of the ink seeps into the fruit.
