Magical Melting Dough
For all the best kids activities
This melting dough is really quite magical. Not only does this mold-able dough melt, but it also fizzes and bubbles. SO FUN! This dough is also really easy to make which is always a BONUS! No cooking and only 3 ingredients!
Melting Dough Recipe
- 1/2 cup of baking soda
- 1/2 cup of corn starch
- Washable paint (we used tempera)
- Optional- googly eyes and other witch accessories to make melting witches (we got our witch accessories on Amazon here)
Any color of paint will work. With Halloween so close we decided to use green paint to make melting witch dough.
- Slowly add more paint until you reach the desired consistency. You want the dough to be mold-able but oozey. Once the dough is mostly mixed you will want to wash your hands and finish the mixing process by kneading the dough with clean, dry hands. The mixing is quite messy.
That's it! It is now time to play!
This dough is amazing and SO FUN! Kids can make witches that will melt once their hands are still
They can also make wicked witch eruptions by throwing their witches in vinegar
You could make all different types of dough by simply changing the color and name. How about bubbling banana dough? Or exploding apple? SO FUN!
Rosie and Jewel haven't even gotten to play with this fun dough yet, but I know they will love it! I wanted to experiment with making the dough to see how it turned out before presenting them with it. After creating it I couldn't stop playing with it, it is that FUN!
