Whip up a batch of Grinch GOO for some super sensory play this holiday season!
To make Grinch Goo you will need:
- Corn starch
- Green food coloring
- Peppermint extract
- Christmas toys/decor
Pour the desired amount of cornstarch into an empty storage bin or container. Then slowly add water a little at a time until you reach the desired GOOPY consistency. How will you know when you have the right consistency? GOOP acts as both a solid and a liquid interchangeably. You will be able to pick it up in your hands but it will quickly turn to a liquid.
Once the standard Goo recipe is prepared mix in a few drops of peppermint extract and green food coloring. Then add Christmas toys and/or decor! If you have any Grinch ornaments that's even better! We didn't have any actual Grinch ornaments but we did have heart cookie cutters and plenty of other festive stuff to toss in!
The heart cookie cutters fit the Grinch theme perfectly! Rosie loved stamping hearts in the Grinch goo!
We watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas a few days prior to this. While she stamped the hearts we talked about how the Grinch's heart grew in the movie and why it grew. This was a great way to talk a bit about the giving part of Christmas!
The girls had so much fun mucking around in their Christmas GOO
