Hand Print Flowers for Spring

We loved our Hand Print Sun Craft so much that I thought it would be fun to make Hand Print Flowers to decorate our windows for Spring.

Hand Print Flower Art

Rosie has been asking me to trace her hand since we made the hand print sun, so I thought she would really love this craft.  She did!  This time, I only used Rosie and Jewel's hand prints.  I used four hand prints for each flower.  I had Rosie decorate the construction paper sheets prior to cutting out the hands, and this worked really well.

She used an array of materials all the toddler favorites like glitter and glue.

Once I cut out all the hand prints, Rosie helped me glue the flowers together.  I cut varying circles out of the construction paper to use as the flower centers.  We used pipe cleaners for the flower stems, and tissue paper to make leaves.  I just love how they turned out!  Here is a close up of one of Rosie's hand print flowers.

Once we were done putting our flowers together, I hung them up in our windows.  They make fantastic Spring decorations, and now when we look out the window during the month of April, we will be reminded of exactly what all those April showers will bring.... lots of beautiful flowers!

Another fun way to make hand print flowers:

I can not express how much I adore this piece of art.  Rosie and I painted the sky together.  She loved having mommy paint her hand so that she could make prints.  What a fantastic memory for both of us!  I even managed to get one of Jewel's hand prints :)
