I made Jewel and Rosie a Haunted House out of a cardboard box and they have been having so much fun with it!
Haunted House Halloween Fun!
I had so much fun putting this together for the girls! I just love the way it turned out, too! To make our spooky house, I took a large cardboard box we have had for a while and painted it to look like a haunted house.
If you don't have a box like this on hand you can purchase one from Home Depot, U-haul, or similar moving company for around $10
Once the outside of the box was dry I poked holes in the top and hung spooky witches, skeletons, spiders, and bats using pipe cleaners.
I purchased all the spooky hangings at The Dollar Tree.
I covered one entrance to the haunted house with a spooky entrance flap
Then I poked more holes in the top of the box and strung purple Halloween lights all along the top.
The lighting was a fantastic finishing touch!
The girls have had such a blast with this spooky little house!
They love crawling through it and exploring!
After they tired of playing the first time I turned the lights off and the blacklight on for one final surprise-
The haunted house GLOWS!
If you want your windows to glow be sure to use fluorescent paint.
haunted house like this one would make a great addition to a Halloween party. I know we will be using ours at our little Halloween get together!
