Magnetic Ice Fishing Game
First I made a batch of magnetic colored ice for Rosie to explore
Making the magnetic ice was easy. I added thick round magnets to an ice cube tray before filling and freezing. I added food coloring to color the ice. Just be sure that you use a thicker magnet like these or these. We knew from when we went fishing for love and boat fishing in the bath that thinner magnets are not strong enough to work. Rosie had lots of fun exploring the colorful ice. She loved chasing them with a magnetic wand
If you used one side of the wand the ice would run away rather then being pulled
Rosie thought that was really neat. She also loved catching the ice on the wand
This gave me the idea to add googly eyes, and make another batch of ice for Rosie to go ICE fishing. She absolutely LOVED this! Rosie had a blast fishing for the magnetic ice fish
She threw the ice fish back several times so that she could fish again and again!
This was such a fun way too have fun outside while cooling things down on a hot day! We will be doing this one over and over again this Summer!
