It is time for more messy play in the bath & sink!
For those of you visiting Growing A Jeweled Rose for the first time, the purpose of this series is to encourage messy play by illustrating how easy it can be to contain and clean any mess. Each week, The Golden Gleam will share a messy play activity in the sink, and I will share a fun playtime in the bath.
Our bath play activity this week is Contained Body Painting!
Both girls had so much fun with this playtime! Rosie always tries to paint herself during other painting activities and really enjoyed having free rein to explore.
(She did a great job of keeping the paint out of her eyes)
She also loved painting her little sister!
Jewel didn't mind at all .....
She loved painting Rosie too =)
And once they were done, all the mess washed right down the drain!
The clean up process even became part of the fun. Here, Rosie is painting with water to clean the paint off.
After we had all the paint cleaned off of the surrounding surfaces, I drained the tub, and then refilled it to give the girls a bath for getting clean.
The girls had so much fun with contained body painting, and once they were done, there was no mess left behind. Only happy children :)
Note- We used washable tempera paint for this playtime and all mess washed right down the drain. However, be sure to test a portion of your own bath before recreating this activity just to be sure you experience the same result.
Don't forget to pop over to The Golden Gleam to see the fun painting activity she is sharing in the sink!
