Chocolate Eruptions & a Chocolate Waterfall
Rosie loves the baking soda and vinegar trick. We explore with this fun Science often, and we are always finding new ways to play. Making chocolate eruptions was a fun way to explore for Valentine's day.
To make Chocolate Eruptions you will need:
- Baking soda
- Chocolate extract and/or cocoa powder
I had cocoa powder and chocolate extract on hand so we used both, but if you only have one you can just use whichever you have. Both aren't needed. We began by mixing baking soda with a few teaspoons of cocoa powder in a bowl
To make the vinegar chocolaty we mixed a few drops of chocolate extract into a container of vinegar
Then it was time for the fun to begin!
Fizzing chocolate Science- so fun!
We started small but soon moved onto a larger container to make BIG chocolate eruptions!
These were much like a chocolate waterfall which Rosie thought was so fun. She couldn't get enough and played and played and played!
