Apple Volcano

An apple sits on the table looking exactly like an ordinary apple. Children pick it up, turn it over, and wonder why there's a hole in the middle. Then the vinegar goes in. Foam begins climbing out of the center, spilling over the sides until the whole apple seems to come alive. That's the moment they move closer.
