Rosie had so much FUN with this next Fall activity. I set her up with an array of ingredients so she could concoct her very own pumpkin potions. How FUN for Fall!
Pumpkin Potions Fall Activity
This activity was easy to set up and filled with FUN! You will need baking soda, vinegar, a couple of pumpkins, and whatever else you have on hand and think your kids might like to use while concocting their potions. In addition to the above ingredients I gave Rosie food coloring, pumpkin pie spice, glitter, crushed chalk, dish soap, and pumpkin seeds. We used dish soap just because it helps the baking soda and vinegar reaction last longer. You could really use any or all of the above.
We found a pack of three tiger pumpkins at Walmart for only $2 so we used those. Tiger pumpkins look really neat, and when you open them up they are just like any other pumpkin.
We just scraped them out and kept some of the seeds
Rosie had a blast mixing and concocting all the ingredients to make her pumpkin potions
She tried lots of different combinations while she played pumpkin potion master
Play ensued until we were all out of the base ingredients needed to make the magic of the potions. Next time I will make sure I have even more baking soda and vinegar. Good thing it is super cheap.
